Should you observe someone having a problem with their payment machine-quickly drive to the next payment machine. The discount ticket first and then the payment. To get the $5 discount YOU have to insert the coupon into the slot of the EXIT PAYMENT MACHINE. The discount coupon does not requires a stamped validation. Please note: eventually when you enter the aquarium a staff members will give you a $5 discount coupon off the price of any parking lot near the aquarium. However there are a few parking payment machines outside near the aquarium ticket booth and they work fine. There are no attendants nor do any of the automated payment machine on the first floor work well in horrible frigid weather. Avoid "reserved" spots clearly posted OR SUFFER THE ORANGE BOOT! Parking is a flat rate at $10 which you pay before you exit. Please park only in public designated spots-they have no signs.

My advice: the Aquarium opens at 10am and closes promptly at 5pm. The otherside is PRIVATE (AND NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC) almost empty corporate "EMPLOYEES ONLY" parking lot. The parking lot is divided into two lots by a barely two lane asphalt road. Don't waste your time trying to figure it out. You will be standing at the entrance scratching your head reading a sign that states "PARKING LOT FULL." However from a short distance you can clearly see 100 to150 open parking spots. If you arrive after 12 noon on most days you are out of luck. As you arrive at the Aquarium from either Federal or Market Streets you will notice an open air parking lot. Which will eventually take you towards a half dozen signs leading you directly to the Aquarium. Instead take the NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE (I-95 SOUTH) to exit 4 and navigate your way to 30 WEST. Avoid driving into Camden local roads-lots of lights, lots of traffic and a pure-waste of time.

From Staten Island NYC, Jersey City NJ or Manhattan the Adventure Aquarium is 79, 87 & 91 miles away respectively. The battleship is a 6 minute walk from the Aquarium.

However Philadelphia does not have a world class aquarium or the Battleship USS NEW JERSEY Museum moored on their side. Philadelphia has a much longer riverfront dedicated to tourism. It is located in a recently built up industrial park that overlooks the Delaware River and the skyline and riverfront of the City of Philadelphia. Adventure Aquarium is located in Camden New Jersey.
